I'm in a situation were I may be able to purchase some firearms, but theres is an issue about ownership. The owner an his wife were tragically killed in a car accident. They are survived by a daughter and step son. The daughter lives out of state and the step son is local. Who would these firearms belong too at this point and what would the process be for a transfer of these firearms at this point?

The executor of the deceased's estate can transfer the firearms to you.
If the firearms are out-of-state, they need to be shipped to a CA FFL dealer.
If the firearms are in-state, the executor of the estate can PPT them.sigpic

Unless the guns are off list , then they cannot be shipped but can be PPT'd.Originally Posted by Sic Boy
