MBUS sights on upper problem

My upper has a flat top and a low profile gas block, but the gas block is lower than the rail. What can I do to level it out with the rear sight?

Get a new gas block at the right height, or a rail extension (i don't know if they make any for this specific application)

buy a gasblock sight....they are different then rail sights..

The Magpul MBUS is specifically not supposed to be mounted onto a gas block because it might not survive the heat generated at that location.

Hera are two options for gas block mounted front sights.

Troy BattleSight Front Gas Block Mounting M4

YHM Gas Block Mounted Front Flip Sight

Another option would be to get a gas block with a built in flip up front sight.

if you are going to be using the mapul rear still buy the longer flip up front sights from MI to work with the gas block you have now.

The MI Gas block height front sight is very nice for the money and works just fine with the Magpul rear sight, just and an FYI, for the original poster.
