10 Days

got a 10/22 that I had for a week and sent it back to Ruger. They replaced the whole gun so it has a new serial #. It took about 3 weeks for them to get it back to my FFL and now I have to do the DROS over again. Over a month ordeal.

Yes I am quoting my own post. I forgot to add I recently bought a gun from Big 5 and the 10 day wait begins. But it does not start until the next day so the day you buy the gun does not count. So you wait 10 days from the second day but o hey you still cannot pick the gun up on the 10th day you have to wait until the day after the 10th day. So in total you have to wait 12 days.

My 10 days was up on Sunday. But due to work, I won't pick it up until the 12th day.

At least at the shooting range I bought the gun from allows me to shoot it on location during the 10 day wait period.

Actually, the more the merrier, but I usually shoot on Beale AFB, or in Spenceville at lunch during the week (when it's a little less crazy).

i feel for you the 10 day wait sucks,i'm happy i dont have to do that anymore.its either cash & carry or a 10-20 minute wait then i'm on my way

Man, I will probably settle down in either AZ or TX. Either way, I'll feel real comfortable about the gun laws.
