    another newbie with a ?

Hi, I'm new to guns and this board.
A more experienced co-worker got me hooked on bullseye shooting and last week bought a Ruger Mark3 at J&R. Only six more days before I can bring it home

So my question, which might be better filed in the Competitive shooting sub-forum, is why does it appear that bullseye (NRA or International format) competitive pistol threads are non-existent, and only practical/tactical threads dominate? Is bullseye shooting a dying format?

As a USPSA Shooter, I would say yes. This website has a relatively low average age (20-30), and that age group is interested in more active competition. I don't have much personal interest in Bullseye. I like USPSA because of the adrenaline dump when the buzzer goes off.
