Is it legal in CA to remove the pin in the floor plate of a modified 10/30 PMag to add a ranger plate to the mag if the mag remains 10/30 without adding the pin back in mag?

It isn't defined however the way I approach it is if I'm in court, do I want the DA able to take apart a mag I made in front of the jury without any tools? With epoxied floorplates, this is pretty easy since they don't stand up to physical shock very well and repeatedly striking or dropping the mag on the baseplate can make it possible to pop it off. It's why I switched from epoxy to roll pins as the pins need to be drilled outTy | 815.246.AR15 (2715) | info@midwestpx.com
