Finding ammo unexpectedly

I was going through my ammo closet tonight to organize it, and lo and behold!, I found a stash of 9mm and 38 special. Don't you just love it when you find long "lost/forgotten" ammo? Anyone else have experiences like this?

Oh, I wish. My ammo stock is quite modest. It's just that I was organizing my .223 and 22lr ammo, and happened upon 9mm and 38 special ammo. I usually keep handgun ammo separate from long gun ammo, and that's why the surprise. It was a good feeling!

haha wow man I wish I knew that feeling. I wish I had a good feeling. I sometimes I think I have a certain amount of ammo to only find out I have less after I count it. I always forget that I just recently went to the range and blew some ammo.

I do it. I have ammo for weapons I don't have (yet). If it's a deal, I'll buy it. If I don't buy a weapon chamber for it at some point, I'll end up selling it.

It ends up in the back of the stash. I recently came across a case of wolf black box from the late 90's I forgot I had! It was like Christmas in summer!

I found a spam can of Greek .30 ball on clips the other day in the shed. I didn't remember having any loose cans left.

I cleaned the trunk of my car last week and found 2 boxes of shotgun shells.

i found 3 boxes of 9mm and one box of 44 mag and a 9mm pistol in an old file cabinnet in my wifes craft room i put there 5 or 6 years prior. believe it or not it realy happened 2 months ago

Way better then reaching into your pocket and finding a cartridge unexpectedly. I hate it went that happens.

Finding a box of ammo is one thing, but you found a gun you forgot you had? haha

Last week I decided I wanted to have an accurate count of my ammo inventory. I opened up a can of 9mm reloads that I hadn't touched in... well, forever. To make it easier to count, I started dropping them into old ammo trays (I save the plastic ones). Then I noticed that I'd managed to stupidly dump a box of factory loaded Winchester hollow points into my can of reloads.
