You should switch to a good rum you provably have a cheap one.

You should really consider Bacardi Select (the dark stuff) in the future. Stay away from that spiced garbage, but if you absolutely have to, get some Sailor Jerry so you can still call yourself a man.

Great choice of drink though. If you'd said you were sipping on a Mojito or something, I wouldn't be surprised if the gun gods had required more blood from you as it would have been a potentially fatal insult.

It also helps if you wipe all the excess oil from the slide and wash your hands before racking it, too...

Blood will destroy the finish on most firearms. Clean up is real important.

Almost every cop I've ever met repeats the "alcohol and guns don't mix" mantra right up until the RV parks in the desert.

After WWII and Korea, and Cuba et al., my grandfather used to enjoy various Press Club machine gun festivities, usually while there was enough Scotch flowing to float the Missouri. Back when the press weren't afraid of guns, obviously

Sobbered up right away? That means not drunk enough. ..... Kinda like how drunks always survive the DUI crashes

That would have been tragic! Spilling a drink is a no-go.
