The '86 ban is what happened to it. Can't market a product you can't sell.

actually, they could sell that if they wanted to. It would be an SBR, and have to be properly transfered as such. It is not an MG, so the 86 ban does not apply to it. They said it uses a standard Glock upper, and that it has room for an auto-sear to be installed. The auto-sear would be the post-86 MG item.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Chris Costa wasn't in the video marketing it, therefore nobody wanted to buy it. Next time I decide to walk my dog in an active warzone, I'll be sure to ask Magpul for one.

Magpul at that time did'nt have the resources to produce guns - pretty simple, and no one wanted what is likely to be an incredibly niche product offering - plus your in California so you only get 1 x not 3 xxx

They're allowing Bushmaster to produce it. It will cost $12,000, weigh 11 pounds, and will be available sometime around the year 2015. If you actually want it to unfold, that'll cost an extra $899.99.

IIRC, Magpul already stated that they don't have intention of putting it in production. But I heard there were airsoft versions.

It would be a cool factor just to have a toy version as a conversation piece.
