    Cow Palace gunshow report?

Anyone go yet? Is there any 7.62x39 there? Any protesters out front?

Not much happening at the show. I got there at 9:00 AM and left around noon. No protesters were there today. I also walked out without buying anything...it's getting to the point that there are very few items at the show that is worth buying.

Its WAY past the point. After paying for gas, parking and the entrance fee there are no deals. Thank God for the internet

Nothing new under the sun, with the exception of EDM showing off their .510 DCE, but that is a toy I can't afford. I was hoping to see the PRK legal Bushmaster carbon fiber lower, but they were not there. The good news was that Miwall finally had XM193, so I bought 2000 rounds along with 1000 rounds 7.62 SA and 1000 rounds of 9mm Luger. With the exception of the XM193 it wasn't worth it.

No doubt. I was thinking about going, but you know, I just spent over $2500 on reloading equipment and supplies this week. I also remember that the last Cow Palace show I went to was like a Garage Sale/Flea Market. A lot of items with actual dirt on them, and the people selling stuff always act like they think I'm a cop and trying to bust them for something, WTF? I can't have short hair?

XM193 was $95/500. SA surplus .308 was $200/980 (in sealed battlepacks).
For sure they had Wolf 7.62 x 39, but since I don't shoot it I didn't pay attention.

Miwall had Wolf, Olympic and PMC 7.62x39mm. If I recall correctly, the Wolf was about $140/1000. The XM193 was $99/500. They also had Winchester Q3131 for $195/1000. IMI Match 7.62x51mm for $115/300. SA 7.62x51 as mentioned above. Also Argentine 7.62x51. Can't recall the price on that.

Team Delta Project was there in full uniform pitching some "24 hours of real world military training" event. (See http://www.teamdeltaproject.com/deltaairsoft.htm for more details.)

Infinity Tactical http://www.infinitytactical.com/ appears to be the new flavor of knock-off tactical gear out these days. $40 for a tactical vest.

Most of the usual vendors were there.

I didn't see any protesters either.

Thanks. Well, if I wake up early enough I'll head out there, but most likely just wait for the next vallejo show.

I used to check out the show just to meet up with friends and see what's going on.

Last one I went to a month or two ago some piece of **** handed me a flyer in the parking lot. I glanced at it, initially thinking it was an NRA thing or show coupon...turned out it was some antigun flyer.

I told him to shove it up his *** and went inside and had security throw his sorry butt out of the parking lot.

It's worth it to go just to piss off the antis.

I went to the show this morning. I don't know how yesterday was, but today was the lowest attendance and the lowest amount of gun-related stuff that I ever saw. Pathetic. Miwall still had some ammo, but were totally sold out of 10mm reloads and had ZERO 12ga 00 buck on hand.
Prices on some surplus guns are now going from "outrageous" to "surreal". A Russian M44 with a stripped stock for $250? A rusty Yugo-capture K98 for $400?
What happened to Dimitry and City Arms? The only people that sometimes have good deals weren't there.

$200/1000 for XM193? That's a pretty good deal considering the online places can't seem to even get it in stock.

That works out to about the same as Widener's, when you calculate tax, fee to get in, etc.. Widener's has it for $224/1k delivered. I guess if there's a reason to go it's nice to get the ammo too, but personally I'd mail order it and save the hassle of driving to the land of the Anti's.

Thanks for the all the reports. I went today, around 1PM. Sure I saw some over priced stuff but I was actually really impressed with some of the deals. If you were into milsurp there was a guy towards the back who had a number of surplus rifles all privateparty cash and carry. There was a very nice looking Enfield No. 4 mk1 for $135 needing an extractor spring. I think I have 5 in my spare box. There were some really nice Mosin Nagant 1938's and M44's for under $100. You just had to look for these things, they were not in the obvious places.

Miwall was sold out of the powder i wanted but they still have a great deal on Wichester 9mm ($59 for 500 rounds) which is $6.00 cheaper than on their web site.

The Surefire dealer was "retiring" so there was some deals there. I got an LED KL3 head for $61 out the door. Cheapest price I've seen on these are $65 shipped.

There was a dealer selling a Russian Kobra red dot for $125. I've seen these near $200 on the internet.

What you need to do to make it worth your while is sign up for an NRA membership outside. They offer $10 off so it's only $25 a year plus they give you a free ticket to the show. You can renew this way too. It's like a $20 savings.
