Scope Mounts

I'm gonna pick up a Bushnell Banner 3-9x40mm scope for my Marlin 795 that I will be picking up. Wondering whether I should pick up some aftermarket aluminum mounts, but I'm not sure which. Will the 3/8" rings for .22lr work for this scope? Thanks.

Thought the Banner was a 1" tube.

I just looked it up and it says 1" tube, but I'm totally new to setting up a scope so I'm not sure if I can use the 3/8" mount.

And it should fit fine on the grooved receiver of the 795 right?

Should,there are many 3/8 grooved rings that should work.
