You will see that the camera has eliminated some of the depth of field in that image. So the guy who looks like his muzzle is at another's head is actually aiming out in front of the guy.
I also find it a great statement on the feasibility of the SKS as a defensive weapon. I mean there are hundreds of threads in other discussion groups stating how the SKS is a great rifle for SHTF or whatever. Seeing a uniformed officer (who may not be as fully trained as we'd hope...but the truth is we just don't know) place trust in one is a strong statement.
