If you?re early, you?re on time. If you?re on time, you?re late. If you?re late, don?t even bother to show.

The convention center shows that Crossroads puts on are okay, sometimes, but hardly worth a six hour round trip drive for me. Especially with the Big Reno Show coming up in mid-August, with 4 or 5 times the stuff to look at, buy, etc.

If you are close, they sometimes have long arms and hand guns worth looking at, but often it is more jerky/eyeglass cleaners/knock-off handbags, etc.

The Reno Crossroads show is okay, but not significantly different than Crossroad's shows elsewhere, like Cow Palace or Vallejo. A lot of the same vendors. There are a few local guys that have good deals but it's not really worth a long drive just for the gun show.

Of course, there are other things to do in Reno like Cabelas, Sheels, Sportman's Warehouse, casinos, the whitewater park, desert shooting, 45 minutes to Tahoe, etc.

So what's up with the Big show in August? I went in April, will there be anything new to see or will it be the same vendors and prices?
