Glock 19 vs Glock 23 w/ lone wolf 9mm conversion barrel

Have any of you guys shot the Glock 19 and Glock 23 lone wolf 9mm conversion barrel? If so does the Glock 23 feel the same as the Glock 19?

I tried using a Lonewolf conversion barrel on a Glock 35. I ended up selling it and getting a Glock 34 instead. If you do use it, make sure to replace the extractor and ejector when you replace the barrel, that should help. Expect problems though.

As a Glock 23 owner, I can honestly say I wish I would have gone with the 19. I just happen to be a bigger fan of the 9mm, it is a little cheaper, I find it easier to shoot with, plus there is a wider array of magazines choices. There is a reason why the Glock 17, followed by the 19, appear to be the two most popular models. And don't be fooled by the "knockdown power" myth, the 9mm has been around for 100 years and is extremely popular for self defense, LE, and military for both sidearms and standard issue rifles. Bottom line, plenty of people are no longer breathing because of it.

I have a glock 22 in 40 caliber with a 9mm lonewolf conversion barrel, and even though I can shoot both calibers I always wish I just went with the glock 19. I have had failures to feed with my conversion barrel, but nothing I couldn't work around.

If you want malfunctions, then get the LWD 40-9 conversion barrel. If you want reliability, then get the gun that's made for the caliber.

I have a Glock 23 with a Storm Lake conversion barrel. It's been 100% reliable through a few hundred rounds. No issues at all. Now if this was a carry piece, I probably would trust a conversion barrel, but for range fun, it's great.

Also, yes, a G23 with 9mm conversion barrel pretty much feels the same as a G19.

EDIT: I also got a 9mm magazine to go along with the 9mm barrel. I read that it will enhance reliability.

I got LWD 40-9 conversion barrel for my 23 and i shoot 200 rounds on it the other day...FLAWLESS..maybe I got the "A's".....

I too have a LWD 40-9 for my 23, 100% reliable so far.

Lone Wolf

I have a Glock 22 (.40) with Lone Wolf 9mm and .357 barrels. The 9mm wouldn't fit properly, so I sent it back to LW and they did some light machining on it and now it fits just fine. I was very impressed by this as I had the gun and 9mm barrel for nearly 5 years before even trying it out. They did the work at no cost to me.

Just shot it the gun and all three barrels on Thursday without incident. That was my first time shotting a .357 Sig and those bullets sure get downrange in a hurry!!!!

My advice is to give LW barrels a try. I've heard some have had extraction issues when shooting 9mm, but mine fed just fine. Every gun behaves differently.
