Lie to Me - 7/12

Did anyone else catch the great quote on the TV show Lie to Me tonight? Talking about who it was that a little girl saw carrying a weapon in a holster:

How's a little girl supposed to know if what she saw in the middle of the night were Coroners, criminals, or Cops?

Response:

Coroners don't have guns, and criminals don't carry their weapons in holsters, right Olivia? {Olivia the little girl nods her head yes}

Even the writers of the TV shows understand that criminals are not going to openly carry a gun in a holster! And note this was set in DC, so I doubt the OCers would be out in force, but it just shows how stupid it is to think that a criminal would actually use a holster to carry a weapon.

If the shows writers and technical advisers know what's up then it makes for good TV.

I was similarly happy with an episode of Criminal Minds where they were holding their guns right (no chicken wings!) and then when one of the guys shot his gun in the car, they had a short back and forth between him and the girl because she got mad that he didn't warn her that he was going to shoot and he could have damaged her hearing.

I thought that was a good show tonight, they have some savvy advisers.

The story takes place in DC, but the show is shot down in Culver City or in Burbank (same studios where they taped 24 - my friend at FOX works on the production team). And I also watched that episode last night.
