My Surefire weapon light came in!

... and it looks like everything's legit. Bought an M962 kit from the Marketplace Saturday morning for just under $300 and was curious what I'd get.

Come home this afternoon and there's a box sitting at my front door, opened it, checked everything out with scrutiny and had to come to the conclusion that it is in fact a legitimate Surefire M962 kit as advertised.

Thanks mushroom_baby for one hell of a deal!

I call this rifle complete and ready to share:

Came with a 125 and a 225. Tested it out in a mirror with the 125 and I still can't really focus on anything directly in front of me.

I'm kind of scared to try the 225.

Thanks guys, my girlfriend is sick of hearing me talk about it. Just got home from the movies to a dark house and tested it out but caught my Maglite walking out the door in shame. Damn thing literally lights up a small room by itself.

If any of you guys are at American Shooting Center this weekend, I'll be "that guy" with the 1.21 Gigawatt weapon light testing out some gun show 5.56.

Oh... and now I understand what everyone's going on about as far as limiting front end weight. I'm still happy I got the heavy barrel, but it feels like I need to put some weights in the buttstock.

looks good man. But a heavy barrel + that beast would be too front heavy for me.

Looks sweet. What kinda rail is that? Im looking for a quad rail that works with the delta ring to replace the standard m4 handguards

Thanks, and I hear you on that. This being my first build, I have to claim ignorance on weight. It's heavy as hell, but this rifle's really growing on me like my first car did... a big 1973 Ford LTD we used to call "The Boat". Just figure every other rifle I fire short of an M240B will feel like driving a small Japanese car now =)

I kind of like the heavy feel to it and the detachable carry handle though, but my next one's definitely going to be the standard light build with some sort of optics. I'll know better and get a free float next time, too.

xxINKxx, I forgot what brand rails they are (it's on the tip of my damn tongue), but I got them from Discount Gun Mart on Morena (if you're in San Diego) for about $150, otherwise I was just going to order a set online. There's no shortage of them that work with the delta ring though. Just look up "Two piece drop in quad rails" and that should set you on the right path. They fit in exactly like standard plastic handguards. I'll PM you the brand when I get home from work.

Now to figure out how to leave positive feedback for someone in iTrader...
