Gave my daughter (12) her first .22LR rifle. A Remington Viper.
Spent a good portion of time on safety (she has heard this from me before with her BB gun) and mechanics of semi-auto, bolt action and revolver. Went over, rimfire, centerfire, etc.
Had her demonstrate taking mag out, checking chamber etc.
Next week we all go shooting.
