    Outdoor range near Pleasanton?

I don't know that neck of the woods, but a friend of mine lives there, and we're going to check out his Rem 700 .308 soon.

What's the best place to go in that area? 100 yards is the max we'll be shooting.

From Pleasanton, it's to the West and further than Livermore, but there's also Chabot.

I use to shoot at Livermoor 18yrs ago.... had a blast shooting at the 225yd gongs.... too bad they had to get rid of them....

As a side note Chabot does have a 200yd range open on Fridays only... or unless someone can convince me to come up on Monday mornings and open the range.....

If you go to Livermore, leave your steel core ammo at home.

If all you have is steel core and don't want to buy more, go to Chabot.

I used to be a member of both Livermore's range and Chabot, now because of this restriction I pretty much only go to chabot unless I want to get a quick round or two of trap, Livermore's trap range is great!

I just don't have much non steel core ammo.
