Temple City gun ghop - "The Fring Pin" - anyone heard of it?

Found this guy while looking for FFL transfer dealers on Gunbroker:

    Chuck Laase
    The Firing Pin
    10902 Grand Avenue #E
    Temple City, CA 91780

We are a small shop with low over head and great prices. We can order anything thats legel.and have great customer service.full Gunsmithing service is available with quick turn around time on most weapons If your buying a new handgun out of state please verify it is on the state list of certified weapons at Http//certguns.doj.ca.gov/ or call us and we will assit you.
Supposedly this is a brick-n-mortar shop. Has anyone had any dealings with him/them?

    Thanks!

Long story short chuck was very friendly on the phone, but I had a very bad experience with the gun smith. He did some real shotty work on my upper, he left the free flout tube and barrel lose and then swore it was ok too fire .He also ruined my barrel nut and left my pins on My front site all messed up and not even all the way in. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE GUN SMITH TOO ANY BODY!!!!

Anyone else have any experiences with this FFL? I figure instead of starting a new thread, I'd just resurrect this older one.

I had completed a PPT at the place two weeks ago and was charged $45 (yes i know $35) but haven't gotten a breakdown of the fees so, who's to say? I'll have to swing by tomorrow for my rifle.

Regarding The Firing Pin Gun Shop

This is not a timely post but I thought that I would chime in and say that my experiences at The Firing Pin have all been positive! I have run transfers on three out-of-state firearms and purchased a new rifle through Chuck Laase.

He seems very competitive on what he charges, and if you have time he'll tell you about his days as a USMC sniper in Vietnam.

Sorry to hear about MANNYSAR's negative experiences.
