    The New Ade's gunshop

I stopped by today for the first time at the new store, I have to say I like it.. though I have fond memories of trying to fit my truck into one of those Prius sized parking spots and waiting for what seemed to be forever in a shop so crammed full of people you could hardly move.... even with Fowler's and Turner's right across the street, I always go to Ade's (unless I need reloading supplies that can't wait for the interweb to ship)

    my impressions,

First off, there was plenty of room to park my truck, and the parking lot is fairly "private" which is nice when carrying a new rifle in my hands (I always felt a little uneasy walking to my parking spot at the water store with an AR on my shoulder). Even though Ade was not there today, the shop is very "Adeish" the staff is the same except I didn't see Pat. The atmosphere is still very friendly, even though I had not been by in 6 months, I still felt right at home. I like the new "Tacticool" room (way down deep inside, I'm a mall ninja at heart) and if you remember the old old Ade's there is a gold and jewelry section too, except it is not run by an A-hole like the last place

May I ask, sir, what you did not like about the new store?

Well for one when I walked in there was about 7-8 people that work there just sitting/standing around talking and not one asked if I needed any help or what I was looking for, It's like I didnt even exist. The second thing I didnt like was the layout but you guys just moved there so thats understandable. Third is the prices why would I spend $649 on a glock when I could get it for $550 just a couple of blocks down the street?

First, I apologize if you were not acknowledged, as any of our other customers can tell you I take great pride in not acting like other gun shop employees, as I try to help everyone I can. Yesterday I was busy almost the entire day so I apologize if I didn't acknowledge you, as any of our regulars can tell you that would be very out-of-character for me. I can assure you that I do my very best to serve everyone who walks through the door.

Your second comment though... our Glock prices are $549, not $649. I'd like to think you're just mistaken, but if you would like to promote your buddy's shop I'd have to ask you to not do so by misrepresenting our pricing. Please make your own thread promoting your friend's shop and leave us out if it, please.

Again, we have the lowest prices on new-stock of just about everything, and I'll stand by that statement. Except when Turner's has a Sale...

I went in there last week and got quoted $649 for a glock 34 and the shop was not busy as I was the only person in it at the time

Ah, well I apologize, you must have come in on a day I wasn't there, in which case I'm sorry you weren't served adequately, I will talk with my staff about that today.

Also the Glock 34s and 35s are almost always about $100 more than the average 17s, 22s, etc. I'd be shocked if another shop had a G34 for $550, but if so, more power to them.

I would be surprised if a brick and mortar shop had a Glock 34 for $550. I don't even see G34s for that cheap online. It would be unfair to Ade's Gunshop to compare prices of different models, especially when the Glock 34/35 is the most expensive Glock.

I live in San Bruno, near SFO. I recently sold an older 4 digit blued S&W 41 to another Calgunner who asked that I ship it to Ade's. Now as most of you, shipping from a private party to any California FFL can be an ordeal. Ade's laid out what was needed, and I complied fully. They were professional and easy to deal with. My customer seemed to be very happy with them. So there's a plus to Ade's.

I've used Ade's Gun Shop for numerous items, even bringing in firearms that were very unusual at the time. Always a positive experience, and the thing I like the most, is they will actually listen to reason and change their stances on polcies based on facts - not many gun shops will do that.

I have used Ades for a PPT and they were definitely a cut above your turners/Big 5 experience. Its the only Gun store I have been welcomed in and the prices were fair. Personally, I am a tight SOB so I will buy private but I wouldnt hesitate to use them again.

well, it's further from my house... I love the private parking lot. I wish you guys had reloading supplies, but I do understand that is like having a whole other store as well

the replies from senor "physical graffiti" in this thread alone make ade's a place i would want to do business with. that, right there, is a professional attitude. god bless you sir, that is a refreshing change from some of the responses i have gotten from my posts of less than professional behavior at some establishments in my area. its nice to be addressed with a rational, adult response, rather than "im a gun guru because i make $15/hr and i get to cycle actions on the guns i cant afford all day, and your opinion/knowledge doesnt mean .... to me cuz i know it all already."

go spend your money at ade's, y'all!
