Amazing Number of Private Sales Posts

    WOW!
Check it out - only a year ago there were only 2-3 pages (60-90) of private sales threads posted and tonight I was into page 8 and estimated there are about 233 posted sales threads for today only and another three pages with 07-06-10 date - Holy Cow this has become a hotbed of potential transactions.

If it were San Francisco based there would be a tax on it by now.

    Thank you CalGuns!

I noticed that also...a lot of it has been here for a while though.

IMO..I view it as a sign of the times, market seems to be low and people are selling items they just don't need. I've seen lots of price drops on the posts you mentioned..

Its a tough economy. Many have to sacrifice just to pay rent. Also the fact that the AR manufacturers over saturated the market has led to the decline in value of that platform.

People are selling off some of the stuff they bought in the buying panic of '08 and '09.

I do hope folks are being helped. I see a few not getting much sold.
And- like Vacaville said - the buying panic seems over.

It seems pretty split down the middle. There are some great deals in there, however there are some ads in there I wonder what the OP is smokin' with some outrageous prices.

I've learned something though. If I see rare or off-list / off roster in the title I skip the ad entirely. It usually just means way overpriced or "discontinued last year but asking MSRP + 50% premium." I might as well shop at Fowlers or The Stockade.

I think part of it is stuff people dont "need" or was bought in excess and the other is simply sacrifice trying to make rent or they bought at the height of the craze and now they are simply trying to make as much money back as they can.
As far as the prices go i dont care what someone asks for it. if they find somebody to buy it art their price its their deal. if they dont then you get a post followed by a million bumps and no intrest. if i find something I like I buy it if i think its too much i make a offer or I dont buy it.
but the economy is pretty tough right now. As far as the ammo sales the market will heat up as we get closer to the deadline. As far as the gun sales wait till next election or if there is the wind of some sort of gun ban. you can BET that if there is another proposed gun ban they will not make any "mistakes" nor will there be loopholes like the current one

The market is saturated right now. Unless you have something actually rare or classic, your price needs to be aggressive if you want to make a sale.

8-10 bumps and no interest means YOUR PRICED TOO HIGH!
