Purchase is so close yet so far

Well I found an FFL selling their MSAR rifles at cost. The local dealer said what a great price, buy one and have it shipped without gas tube or otherwise disassembled. The seller says nope, it goes as it or no sale.

    DRAT!

How stupid. Take the gun apart, ship it, reassemble it. It serves no purpose at all. Except now I cannot get it.

    Use a middle-man FFL.

Buy it and have it shipped to a FFL dealer in another state, who then makes it CA legal for a fee and then ships it to a CA FFL dealer.

cost, + an extra $50 or so for the middleman, doesn't sound too bad to me.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Plus $75 when it gets here, plus a second shipping charge.

what I was saying is that you were planning on it costing you dealer cost + shipping + DROS/transfer fee from your local FFL. It would only add another $45 to get it run through a middleman, and that would include the shipping and californication (disassemble or install a bullet button that you provide).

Which MSAR are you looking for?

I know they are being cleared out at a few places and even a couple of distributors do not carry them anymore.
