Cabinet. It's a little tight to fit 5 long guns. There's a little shelf towards the top that can fit a couple handguns. It's sturdy but you could cut through it in short time. It gets the job done if you want to keep the kids out.

I have one as well and think it's sturdy enough for the price if it's bolted down/back to the wall.
I agree that it is a little tight for five.

It will keep out kids and unmotivated tweakers. The right tools will defeat it quickly, the wrong tools will defeat it in a bit more time.
