My recent visit to City Arms

I spent a couple hours at City Arms (on the Pacific Coast in Pacifica, which is only a few minutes from San Francisco, and about ten minutes from SFO) on Saturday. See: http://www.city-arms.com/

Besides their nice selection of Glocks, Springfield XDs, HKs, revolvers, 1911s, rifles, shotguns, and other firearms, they are now carrying an extensive line of quality knives. I spent some time fondling some Al Mar and Spyderco knives. Although I'll be back, I did pick up a Nemesis Knives Ti-Card. Neat idea for a convenient cutting instrument.

In any case, if you haven't been to City Arms recently, or have yet to drop by for a look, I encourage you to do so. Despite their location close to San Francisco, they have low and competitive prices. I was also told that they will soon be carrying some higher-end 1911s, such as Les Baers and Ed Browns.

Definitely an A+ in my book. That guy "Uncle Vlad" knows his stuff. Bought a knife there recently - a VS10 steel blade. One of the best knifes I own.

Just FYI, the great guys who operate City Arms are Dmitriy and Vladimir (aka, "Uncle V"). It's always a pleasure and honor to speak with them. In my opinion, City Arms stands out due to their concern for the customer. In other words, they treat their customers with respect.

Cool review....I need to check out their shop in the near future then!

I always enjoy going to new "toy" stores with a good staff.

I just stopped by there yesterday. The prices really surprised me they were much lower than any of the gun shops in the East Bay.

I can walk to City Arms from my home. I HAVE walked to City Arms from my home.

                  Good little shop.

Their milsurp prices are pretty good, guns AND ammo. Shh. Don't tell everybody, or I won't be able to clean out their Tokarev ammo on a regular basis by myself anymore.

Nice shop, great folks, very friendly and helpful. However, don't bother to ask about OLL's, they won't touch em.

Why not? They are 100% legal.

They only deal with fixed-mag lowers, but they will do OLL.

Why not? Because the DOJ intimidates them not to, that's why not.

+1, yep, they are my kind of guys. NO COMPARISON TO THE THE GUN STORE IN MILBRAE which is closer to me but will never patronize for the shear stupidity of the owner treating his customer.

Great shop! I've done a two-party transfer there and stop in whenever I go to Pacifica/Half Moon Bay. Very friendly, knowledgeable and a nice selection.

I've been there plenty of times, but I don't get why they don't sell lowers. They had an AZEX AK on the wall about a month ago. I said to Dmitry, ya got a fixed mag AK on the wall and you won't sell bare lowers. What's the difference!
