    Wood or raus.

Unless you do a really good job of getting synthetic furniture, it won't look good.
If you do a really good job of wood it looks amazing.

I wouldn't think that you would have it any other way.

I would love to get that picture enlarged and framed .

              Another vote for wood...

Credit goes to nicoroshi for refinishing the furniture....

So, pistol grip and no mag lock? Good luck.

Built mine to be functional, so it's even got *gasp* an Ultimak, Aimpoint Comp M2 and modified selector lever (bolt hold open notch, tab to let you change from safe to fire and back again without taking your hand off the pistol grip).

I like both types of furniture, but wood would definitely hurt more when you use it to smash into someones face.

I prefer wood. It just looks nicer. Especially with a lot of scratches and uneven finish.

Some stocks like KVAR come in 1.25 inch longer. Some wood stock are longer as well, I believe Ironwood has some...The preference then is durability...If you want a nice looking classic AK pattern, then get a wood stock finish it and slap it on the AK and take pictures...Then remove it and get a synthetic stock and beat it around not worrying that your refinished wood work of art will not get dented, chipped or scrapped. I kept my WASR wood stock so if I want to refinish it, I can. However, I have fully synthetic for my shooting needs which means getting banged up...

Story...Did a refinish job on my first WASR up in WA. Was soooo proud. Took to the range and put back in my bag with my PSL...Well, my PSL scraped and dented the crap out of the refinishing job I did and there that went. The next week it was fully synthetic. There is your pros and cons.
