WHAT THE J&G SALES??ammo ban info

got the monthly flyer today and had a insert saying they will not ship ammo in feb 2011 yet there was no mention of the ffl-coe combo exemption.....
i sent a email on the web site notifying them of this option for california ffl's
has anyone else did so with j&g sales or other vendors??

    Interesting.

Then again, I just go there to pick up my ammo, I don't screw around with shipping.
    Yeah.

    I'm pissed.
WTB: Rhodesian A5 FN 12G Shotgun...ah, never mind. Prices have become stupid...
WTB: FN FS2000..don't care anymore about this one either.

The flyer is not geared towards people with FFL's. The flyer is simply a marketing tactic in order to boost California sales from non-FFL holders. I'm sure they know that, no need to send them a scary email, and like Czechsix said driving there to pick up ammo is a much better approach...

If the law remains on or after Feb 2011, having a 03 FFL & COE will likely provide no exceptions when purchasing the handgun ammo in person.

There is an exemption, one that will allow the 03/COE holder the ability to purchase online and have the ammo delivered.

But, it does not exempt an 03/COE holder from having a face-to-face transaction recorded with the purchaser's driver license # or other ID #, brand, type, and amount of ammunition purchased, purchaser's signature, full address, date of birth, and of course the right thumb print.

Couldn't you just call and ask if they'll sell to people with FFL03/COE.

Did they specify pistol ammo or are they going to be douch bags and stop rifle ammo sales too?

can someone point me to the law/ info that states COE plus FFL03 permits them to still ship. I have both but want back up proof to provide vendors if needed

Look up AB 962. I didn't want to post the whole thing. Here is part of it:

                          (c) Subdivision (a) shall not apply to or affect the deliveries,
transfers, or sales of, handgun ammunition to any of the following:

                          (6) Persons licensed as collectors of firearms pursuant to Chapter
44 (commencing with Section 921) of Title 18 of the United States
Code and the regulations issued pursuant thereto whose licensed
premises are within this state who has a current certificate of
eligibility issued to him or her by the Department of Justice
                          pursuant to Section 12071.

from j&g just now, very quick response time

                            "Sir,
There are a few exemptions that we are aware of, one of which is all FFL holders. We will sell ammo to those that have FFL licenses when the law goes into effect.

                            J&G Sales""

so i am assuming they are making exceptions
