Do people pay $$$ for scrap brass?

Say you have a bunch of spent casing that are either rimfire or berdan (like 7.62x54R surplus).

Is there such thing as a place that will pay for scrap metal like that? I honestly don't know...

Yep they pay depends on the market. If you shoot at a range where you can police brass and you don't reload sell the brass and cut down the cost of your shooting.

any metal recycling place would prolly take it. not sure how much its worth these days though.
