GripChop / GripSlice of gun's grip legality in CA.

Is this modification allow here in Ca. ? Other folk says warranty will not be affected, But i am more concern on the legality if i will reduce the grip length of my gun (XD). I used my gun as my service, but i want to have a shorter grip length with a 4" barrel for ccw .

By the way i am located here is Sacrameto.

    TY

It might help if you explain what you mean by 'GripChop' and 'GripSlice'

EDIT: If you mean cutting down the grip frame on a polymer framed pistol, then no, as long as you're not obscuring any serial numbers, there is no legal issue with cutting up your gun; and there is no size issue either.

I have a perfect Burning Man attendance record: zero.

When I read the thread title all I could think about was the "slap chop". I thought he was talking about a kitchen utensil and now I think I have a great idea for an invention.

yeah cutting down the grip length of my XD and use the SC mag for ccw and use a 10 round mag with sleeve if i use it on my job.

No ? so it means its a gtg to cut it as my customized gun without violating the grip length.

        Tnx

^there are no restrictions on 'grip length' so get out the Dremel and go nuts; but yes I imagine that you'll be voiding your warranty... so good luck with that.

The proper way to write this: Friends don't let drive a drunk friend

Is this: Friends don't let friends drive drunk.
