I believe you're correct. There is no guaranteed right to self defense or gun ownership. The courts are very liberal, and the criminals are usually treated as the victims when it comes to sentencing.

But they are victims! The society victimized them, and now can't take responsibility for them turning out exactly as it should've expected them to turn out, given the victimization by society they had to undergo. So instead of taking responsibility by understanding and curing them, the society penalizes them for being unwitting products of the society that produced them.

A shotgun! The horror! They're probably only allowed to use bird shot rounds, after all, they don't want to hurt the poor bear in mid-attack!

I agree. I go back to visit the relations and I saw a lot of "passive resistance" to the so called mandatory registration law.

Yeah, lots of Canadians have conveniently "lost" their firearms. Besides, up in the north, there's almost no mounties anyway, so they shoot all the time in the forest. It's like there's "civilized Canada" and then the rest of it where Canadians are free.

Seal Hunting calibre choice ...
I'm curious what my fellow CGNer's would consider/choose a bullet calibre for hunting seals from a boat? The Hudson's Bay seaice is almost gone out of our inlet ... so it's seal hunting time boys ...

I'm curious what my fellow CGNer's would consider/choose a bullet calibre for hunting seals from a boat? The Hudson's Bay seaice is almost gone out of our inlet ... so it's seal hunting time boys ...
