I would think that most child abductions occur because of the parent losing track of the child or not watching them. Of course i dont know for sure...

But If I am correct, then no you dont NEED a gun to protect your kids... But it sure doesn't hurt

That's correct, but the message given is "you don't need them for <X>, so don't get one"

It's like "You don't need a gun to drive your car, so don't buy a gun" while completely failing to take into account any other possible utility of a firearm, and while still villanizing those who like firearms by portraying them as psychotic folks recklessly spraying fire into the air while screaming and yelling.

first of all. WTF? I mean... i'm at a loss here. What does middle age women making stupid faces and pretending to wildly fire assault weapons in the air have to do with keeping your kids from getting abducted? Then at the end, it says take control, chose your weapon. good advice? You dont need a gun to protect your kids?? right, you can use your... fist, a stick, the telephone to call 911? Guns and violence solve very few problems, but the ones they do solve can be problems of life and death. Trying to make gun owners look silly/crazy, and irresponsible is misguided. Guns are the final answer, but a valid answer all the same. Do you want to reproach yourself with "what if..." or "if only..." at your kids funeral and for the rest of your life?
