Yeah, I thought it might be a dupe thread or something. Thanks for pointing that out.
I guess when I clean my guns in front of a potential suitor for my daughter I might also want to go ahead and demand fingerprints and a background check as well.I am a member of the human race. On the upside - it is good to know that these burglaries aren't just random acts of theft. It seems that there is an increase in acquaintance burglaries, and to me this is an upside because you can have some control over who knows what you have, who has access to your house, etc. You may never get 100% control, but you definitely have more influence (for example) over your kids' friends versus which random strangers decide to bust in your back door.

I was at Sportsmans warehouse sometime ago a guy was filing some paper work to buy a safe, he said he just got his guns stolen. I know this is what we have to do this days when we can not trust our neighborhood. We need to secure our guns, our houses and our property. Someone broke in to a house here in my area , they took the guns and burned the house down.Comment

Yeah.....when you see a theft/burglary is very specifically targeted to certain items in your home you can pretty much bet it was someone who knew what you had and right where to find it.
That sucks......sounds like daughter needs to be grounded for a VERY long time!
That's why I just prefer not to show/tell people about what I have. Even if you trust them most people have very loose lips and zero filtering on what they say and to whom. So your friend you trust mentions it to some douchebag friend/aquaintance/co-worker they know and before you know it you're getting hit.

Mendo 223, that's the same vision I have too.....
The sad part in all of this is that the daughter knew that this thieving POS was not allowed on the property whatsoever and she still brought him over behind our backs~
Still waiting to hear back from the PD, nothing recovered as of yet...... Gun safe is on order!Comment
