    has anyone ever

ok I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a limited addition handgun that had sig sauer branded on one side and browning on the other? I know that its such an off base idea but my supervisor was telling me that his friend had one, of course I didnt believe him and I pretty much still dont but he keeps insisting he does so I was wondering what you all think about that. like I said before I know its nuts

ayup...they were imported by Browning to supplement their Hi-Power (it wasn't a limited edition),they were available in 3 calibers: 9mm, .38 Super and .45ACP...they also badged a Beretta 84 as a Browning BDA .380

before Browning imported the 220, they were imported by Hawes

ok I was gonna say it just kinda made me think twice sense it was stamped with both browning and sig sauer, sig and browning isnt what I would of ever associated eachother with.

            Right

A friend of mine has a old .45 Browning BDA which looks like Sig 220

One side is marked "Browning Arms Co, Morgan, UT & Montreal, P.Q."
Other side is marked "SIG-Sauer System, Made in W.Germany"

J.P. Sauer & Sons built the BDAs for Browning in 9mm, 38super and 45acp. Browning later sold the rights to the gun to J.P. Sauer and it was then dubbed the P220. A fine gun by either name!
