I joined the NRA today

Nothing special here, just thought I'd share and encourage other fellow firearm enthusiasts and generally anyone who values our 2nd ammendment rights to join. It's only $35 a year and you get a magazine subscription as well.

Good decision.

On my end, I signed up for the EPL lifetime for $25 / quarter, and my wife up for a normal 1yr, before we ever even bought a our first firearm.

I then proceeded to sign up for the NRA-ILA email alerts... and started sending them to all my buddies who have been into guns for years (well decades)... but none of whom were current NRA members... I shamed them all, and they one by one, are all NRA members again.

Only very recently when shopping for a legal method to buy a AR - did I find Calguns... which led me to the "2nd Amend. Politics and Laws" forum and talking to folks here... I had no idea what a pivotal role the NRA has been playing to try and restore the freedoms we lost in CA - one court battle at a time... So I upgraded my wife to EPL lifetime as well.

I just got a membership form from the NRA and will be joining as well, I'm paying $25 for one year membership and I get to have a rosewood handle knife along with it.
