    Glock 23 ????

<><> I was in one of our local
    gun shops yesterday asking
about the prices on the 23...

The fellow said he could get a
used one for $504.00 out the
    door... It was 2nd generation...

A new one,,, 3rd generation was
    $614.00 out the door...

No nite sights on either one...

How do these prices sound ???

    Thanks,,,

Those prices sound about right for out the door. Its hard to say for the used glock though. If it looks clean and fires well, $100 less is not that much. Might as well spring for the new glock

My personal take, used Glocks typically should be between $400 to $500, depending on accessories and condition. IMHO, though!

Is that OTD price or asking price? If its just asking price, those are pretty high prices, especially used, and for a 2nd gen. Around here, NEW glock23's can be had for $499 at my local shop.

I sold my 3rd gen Glock 23 to EvolutionGSR here on the forums for $425. You can do better, look around, or go PPT. Glocks are almost indestructible, and they hold up to wear quite well.

        Keep looking.

Just for comparison I recently purchased a G23 and G27, both with meprolites, brand new. $550 each, not including tax or DROS.

Yeah, good comparison - so therefore, I would figure that used should be $500 and under.

              <><> Well I did it...

I went to one of the other shops
in town and ordered a new 23...

It came to $590.00 out the door...

              I can't believe I did it,,, I'm really
a 1911 kind of guy... Well I'll keep
on carrying the 1911's and use the
23 for night stand and range use...

              Does anyone know anything about
a new system that is supposed to
eliminate the take-up and lower the
              pounds on the trigger ???

              It's not the 3 1/2 lb disconnect,,, it's
supposed to be something new... I
heard it was about 25 bucks...

              Thanks,,,

Hey congrats. Your going to love it.

I'd like to hear about this new system. I did a little magic and converted my glock 17 to a single action with a crisp hair trigger. I did this for my matches and it worked great and was 100% reliable. Word got around the club that I did this mod and I was asked to remove the mod in fear that it might go off during a match. Didn't make any sense to me as most where shooting modded 1911 race guns that felt the same. It really was no different then a 70 series 1911 but I gave up the fight and removed the mod.

"Don't ask, don't tell" ? Too bad - a lot of people still feel like they have to delegate the actions of others in the name of safety. Those folks should realize how anti-gun their stance really is - I mean, if they are going to force you to remove your lighter trigger, how different is that mentality from the anti-gun folks asking us to give up our guns?

I lit up the Armorer's network and was UTL on any info on this new "trigger mod". I'll keep looking.

Was this guy who told you this a gun store commando or a pro? Just curious...

<><> Well I spoke with the fellow tonight
that was talking about the adjustable
                          trigger for the Glock...

The $25.00 was dealer cost... He said
Lone Wolf carries it,,, and it's called
                          the Ultimate Trigger...

That's all I know about it... He didn't
                          give any specifics...

Ghost Connector 3.5 lb Rocket $25 from Lone Wolf

Minor Gunsmithing required to install this product. The GHOST ROCKET shortens the total length of trigger pull and reset enabling you to shoot faster and better. Faster because the total distance the trigger has to move to fire your pistol is reduced up to 60%. Better because once the pistol fires the trigger movement is stopped. Stopping the trigger after the pistol fires is critical to shot placement. No trigger movement + no pistol movement = no sight movement on the target. The bullet goes where you aimed it! Shorter & faster reset-because the ROCKET eliminates all over-travel of the trigger so that the trigger moves less in both directions. The ROCKET has been designed to function flawlessly. There are several design enhancements over the original connector. The proof is in the shooting. Minor Gunsmithing required to install this product.

Per a request for my method of modding the trigger I'll post some pics and a how-to for everyone on how I did mine. I'll try and get it done by tomorrow night.
