    Info on wrong DROS info

So one of the guys I work with purchased a Ruger P94 at a gun show years ago at the Cal Expo. He is not a huge gun fan like most of us on here, he just purchased it for the very occasional range trip and home defense.
He asked me the other day about his DROS info. Supposably on the DROS paper work the serial number matches the gun but on the description the gun is label as a 9mm and the P94 is a .40S&W.
I am just trying to find out if he were for what ever reason ( which would be very slight) that any run on the gun was done that there would be no conflicting information that may get him into any trouble. The first thing I though was to send a letter to the DOJ explaining the situation and file/follow any response they send him.
Just curious if there is anything else you guys would add or suggest to make sure he is 100% legal and clear of any bs. Thanks

You could call the DOJ and ask them to change it. I would simply not worry about it. It is legal to change barrels on models that will allow it. The serial number is really the only thing that matters.

Thanks Wes, that was the first thing that popped into my head too.
