    Target size and distance ratio

Here's question for you all. I would like to practice aiming at a target at close range but that has the appearance of being farther away. I know there is bullet drop, but I'm not too concerned with that at the moment. I was hoping someone had a formula that would make a target at 25 yards appear in size as though it were a person at say 100 yards. Any thoughts about the proportions?

    Thanks!

The same as the ratio of the distance. For a 25 yard target to appear to be at 100 yards, you need a target 1/4 of the size of the 100 yard target.

      Thanks

Geez... how obvious is that? Thanks for pointing out something that your average kid could tell you. Man, I think I need to get a big cup of coffee or something!
