This. Even if Turner's didn't catch it, of course the government will when they do their checks during those 10 days. It's your responsibility to provide current & accurate information when purchasing a firearm (or buying a car or house, etc) as it can come back and bite you in the butt later.

my 10day was over and they review the paper work and my auto registration expired on the 2nd and I started the DROS on the 3rd.

so apparently is you dont put in your information correctly within 3 tries you are locked out for 72 hours.

I thought it was asking for expiration date instead of issue date so i FUBARed that.

all this because the clerk didnt look at things more carefully of turners is anal. partially my fault but it pisses me off to no end... im done now

I just covered the high points. I'd be p.o.'d too, but I think the phrase "partially my fault" doesn't really describe what's above. Are you sure you can handle owning a gun?

Kudos to Turners for reviewing 4473s during the 10 days in order to catch these issues. However, it would have been nicer if Turner's had called you and let you know when they discovered it instead of waiting for you to come in and discover it on pick up day.

so i go into the store to do a PPT and to pick up a p6 i bought. my 10day was over and they review the paper work and my auto registration expired on the 2nd and I started the DROS on the 3rd. I used my registration because my license has my old address and it counts as your second proof of residence for a handgun. So because my registration is useless i have to go and get my utility bill and print off a copy of my change of address from the dmv website. so apparently is you dont put in your information correctly within 3 tries you are locked out for 72 hours. so now I have to wait for this 72 hours to blow over so i can print a copy of the address change. Yes you are all correct i am in the wrong. It was just a rant to vent frustration... Im not going to try to defend what i said earlier because i am flat out wrong my frustrations should be directed at myself... I see this now. Again just to underscore this i do not hold turners at all responsible for my mistake. Thanks for helping me see this from an objective point of view calgunners
