Values of Old Octagon Barrel Rifles

I inherited two old octagon barrel rifles several years ago and have had them in my gun cabinet for years. They are both lever action and appear functional. I've been looking to find the values for them but can't seem to find any references on the net. Can anyone advise me on the best way to find the value of these rifles?

Posting some pics would help. Do they have serial #s. Do you know how old they are? Any markings etc. im not a old gun guy but some of the guys on here really know their s*8t when it comes to some of the old guns. probably cause they're old farts themselves and most likely used those guns in the civil war

You will need to know the following.

Manufacture, model, serial #, caliber and % of original condition (all original parts and has it been refinished)

then is a simple matter of looking it up on the net to see what others are asking for them and have someone use referance books to look up values.
