How and where can I get this result?

I want my ar-15 upper and lower to look like this.

Is this duracoat (What color and type of finish..i.e.....satin?) or something else?

I want the same type of slight satin finish. Where can I get this done?

For reg290 question. Anodizing is kinda like chrome with color for aluminum and magnesium.

I dont know never had it done but i have had things powder coated and chromed before and it is not that bad. Duracoat would probably be a bit cheaper. You might get a idea from this site

Yuo can do anodizing at home, too. It's hard to match colors, but it is easy to do if you do all pieces at the same time.

yes you can. but I would warn against it

first of all, you're working with dangerous chemicals and poisons and electrically charged solutions

anodizing also adds material to the metal, tolerances will be changed, some items may no longer fit together - the long it is left the more material is added, so timing is important. with proper equipment this is less of an issue

the price of having them done by a professional is well worth it - a single part like that can usually be done for less than $120

Yeah anodizing and plating use some NASTY chemicals. If you don't instantly get cancer then your neighbors might turn you in to the EPA.
