Thoughts on LAX Firing Range Please

I stopped going to LAX about three years ago because it seemed like the majority of the people who worked there were just rude. I started going to Oaktree. However, Oaktree is far. I'd like to get the opinion of some members on the current state of LAX. Please let me know what you guys think of this place.

It's alright, if they're busy they can be brief or irritated. My main reservation with the place is mostly the people who rent firearms and have no clue about range safety.

Oaktree is really nice, but like you said, too far. Los Angeles Shooting Range is also very nice, but again, too far.

      BUT...

Like the previous poster mentioned, the types of people at LAX firing range are inexperienced and pose a significant risk to themselves and other shooters.

If you're talking about the Oak Tree Gun Club up in Newhall, then Insight ought to be closer to LAX range, if that helps. Nice range.

What do you need guns for if you are going to send your children, seven hours a day, 180 days a year to government schools? What do you need the guns for at that point?-- R. C. Sproul, Jr. (unconfirmed)

If you can go early during the week, the crowd is better and you'll get better customer service.

I went there because their website said they allowed rifle calibers with their ammo and after standing at the window thing for a while an employee finally comes over and I ask if I could shoot my sks there, he said, "NO". now I just take my business to LA gun club and Angeles.

i personally love the angeles shooting range, well worth the 35-40 minute drive

outdoor, out to 3-400 yards, the gratifying plink of hanging steel targets

the outdoor pistol range is killer also w/steel targets..

i hate boring/restrictive/rude indoor ranges, no more
