Seriously thinking about selling off most of my collection....

So lately I have been seriously considering selling off most of my collection and buying a few really nice pieces. I would definatly free up some space and consolidating calibers would be cool, also hopefully everything would get shot more often. What do you guys think....I would be selling about 15 guns...anyone done this before?

I vowed to never sell any of my guns after I resented selling one a few years back. Having said that, I just thinned out some of my herd to purchase a few guns that I really wanted. If you think you might regret selling one that you like or will not be able to purchase again (off the approved handgun list) then keep it. Sell everything else and get what you really want! What do you have for sale?

I was thinking about selling the following:

          remington 870
          s&w 442
          s&w 629
          remington 522 viper (2)
          eaa hamerless coach gun
          mossberg 500
          2 oll's one with a lpk installed
          ca ak
          yugo 59/66 sks
          mosin m44
          mosin 91/30
          22-250 benchrest rifle project
          savage .17 hmr
          1893 turkish mauser
          sig p226r

Most of these guns have been shot very little, in fact the 629 has less then 30 rounds through it. The ak, coachgun, m44, 1893 mauser, .22-250 I have never shot.

I don't reccomend it unless absolutely necesary... you will regret it. Especially if another federal AW ban comes in with the dems in power after 2008. We don't know how it'll effect us.

I wouldn't mind the AK though

so do we get to start claiming dibbs now?

              Seriously,

consider again selling firearms that you may never be able to purchase again....

.... unfortunatly for me I consider that (out of necessity) to be just about every firearm I own in California.

I think my single shot .22lr is safe to sell

I have thought about it...and I know this is what I want to do. Before posting this I had taken almost 2 months off from the gun world. Most of the guns that I am selling have not be shot much, if at all. There are guns that I am keeping, those are the ones that I shoot alot or couldnt relpace. It would be a cold day in hell before I would sell my lnib winchester trapper .44mag, my kimber 1911, or some of the guns that have been passed down. I am still keeping a decent ammount of guns and plan to use the proceeds to buy more. The guns I am keeping are:

                Kimber custom II
                S&W 686
                Ruger 22/45 mkIII
                Ruger 10/22 (2)
                Winchester 94
                savage 10fp
                oll
                k31
                mossberg 590a1
                s&w m10
                H&R .22 revolver

So what are you asking for the 870? metal trigger guard, or plastic? Capacity? 2.75" or 3"?

I have made the decision to sell off some of my collection too.
I have just been to lazy to take pictures and post.
                      I decided to consolidate to 9mm, .40, .45, .223, .308, and 12ga. eta .22

I have bought many duplicates, and it is kind of hard to let them go, but if you don't shoot them, why keep them.

I always go through fits of buying and selling. Only a few pieces that I truly miss. Do what feels right to you.

If you sell them, sell them here. I might take a couple off your hands. I would be interested in the AK, 226, and maybe an OLL.
