Sometimes like today, ill be watching shows about WW2 and ill pull out the Garand or M1 carbine and set it right next to me. Makes me wonder if one of these were in that battle, or this one of the weapons that help win the war. Am i coo-coo or do some of you do the same?

I pulled my Garand out today and held it for a few minutes just imagining what it has seen...MY AR Profile #1Comment

Ya... wondering about the history is one thing, but to pull it out while watching a TV show is a little over the edge if you're older than 12, unless the TV show happens to be about "trench art" and you are taking it out to compare makings on yours with some on the show.
A TV show may spark a spontaneous desire to go to the range... but to just pull your gun out and have it available? That's Cinemax territory

My Garand has likely never seen battle, but probably has seen quite a bit of time in competition.
No, I don't get the urge to take my rifle out during battle scenes... such a thing would be foreign to it. Now old videos of service rifle/National Match competition... now that would get it's memories stirring. If only it could talk.Comment

The last 5 or so episodes of HBO's The Pacific were M1 Carbine heavy. I was very tempted to grab my M1 carbine to have near me on the couch, but I never gave in to the temptation.Originally posted by bigbob76I'm in the process of de-humping all my Glocks.Comment

When I was younger & started skydiving. I would wear my parachute rig around the house when we were discussing a jump.
Guess I matured a bit, since. Maybe the OP is just a little odd, but not weird..yet.Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.
Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

there has been several times Ive pulled out my AR while playing modern warfare 2. Its nice to know that I can actually reach out and have the real thing while playing guys in England who can only dream of owning A GUN let alone the guns in the game. GOD BLESS AMERICA... Did i forget to mention I do it in my underwear?
