Gun-related dreams thread

If you had a dream that featured guns, post em here.

I had one the other night. For whatever reason, my grandpa who was a WWII vet had brought home a select fire M16 (I never said they had to make sense ). He had passed and left it to me. I was carrying it around a Target store, and the M16 was able to cycle the bolt and act as a full auto without firing any ammunition. I was carrying it around and freaking people out in general, then I woke up. I have no idea what it means (if anything).

Please share any you think are interesting.

my gun dreams are always along the manner of not having any ammo for the gun, not being able to load it, or not being able to fire it (200# trigger pull).

i posted a thread a while back about having a dream which featured a belt-fed gun where the belts were bacon and it ejected "spent" bacon as cooked strips. it was awesome.

Mine usually consist of 200lb trigger pull or the rounds not affecting my target. They usually never make sense either, go figure.

A G.I. 1911 that was empty but also double action. I actually was confused during the dream that the hammer kept falling

I dreamed I was in an Army encampment getting overrun by hadjis, and I was shooting them with my M1 Garand. They all went down and stayed down. Strange dream.

same here, the only gun dreams I have I can't pull the trigger, or you get the *click* but not BOOM, or the bullets don't affect the bad guy.

Same feeling dreams as when you try to punch someone attacking you, but it feels like you're underwater and can't get any power going.

I've only had one where the gun goes bang and they stay down and it's all disturbing and the like.

The rest are all the usual "bad trigger" things.

I had two gun related dreams the same night.

The first one was a real nightmare. Someone broke into our home while we were watching TV. Our tiny Welsh Corgi ran at them barking and they began stomping the dog. I grabbed my Charter Arms Bulldog from it's hiding place and drew down on him, but he took off out the door at that point. I chased him with the blood lust coursing hot through my veins. Two shots at his fleeing figure missed. He crashed through some brush and came out the other side, whereupon I put a big .44 caliber hole in him dead center. Only it wasn't him, it was someone else who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and I had shot an innocent person by mistake. I started yelling for my wife to call 911 and had a sick sinking feeling in my gut... that's when I woke up.

The other one took place in a post-apocalyptic setting. I was traveling with a band of folks. We came to a town and found there was another roving band like us who was besieging a group of people who were holed up in a building. Their first attempt at gaining entry was rebuffed. I was a short distance away from my group but called out some kind of derisive remark like "That worked real well, didn't it?" The whole group of them then turned and drew their guns to shoot at me. Everything went slow motion. I had my CZ-75b .40 cal in my hand quick as lightning and I began methodically taking out each one of them. Every shot a hit, every shot a kill, 180 grains of defensive goodness finding it's new permanent home with each trigger pull. Flawless mag swap. Finally the last one went down. I looked at my group and they were just clearing leather, it had happened that fast. I had not been hit by a single shot, by an incredible stroke of luck.

It seemed really strange to have two such opposite dreams the same night.

I have had a dream of Guns are now totally outlawed and armored cars are rolling down the streets with police in riot gear marching from house to house. They are banging on the doors, kicking them in, searching, looting for hidden guns. I have a hole cut in the floor and a small foxhole dug in the crawl space. Sandbags surround the hole. I see my door fly open by force and a smoke canister fly in. One by one single file these thugs enter my house with gas masks on and I aim and fire at each one and they fall face down in the entrance way. They pile up about 4 or 5 deep and then I run out of ammo and die. Scary dream. I had it a couple of times.
