Best .22 rifle?

Probably a subject of debate. What is your favorite .22 rifle? What is your least favorite .22 rifle?

Lever action - Henry Golden Boy or Marlin 39A. Both run about $500, but feel great and will last forever.
Bolt action - There's some really nice Savages and Marlins out there.
Semi-auto - Ruger 10/22 if you want to modify it, Marlin 60 if you're going to leave it as is.

Bolt - Marlin, CZ, Anschutz (in order from least expensive to most)
auto - 10/22 all the way. Most adaptable. (though the marlin autos are great too)
lever - Henry.

I own a marlin and a 10/22 and would love to get an Anschutz some day.

I would have to say Anschutz after I shot my friends the other day, I loved it. Yet to fire a lever action .22 so no opinion on that.

Out of the ones I owned I would say my Marlin Model 60 takes the cake.

Actually I think there's not much to debate. Your thread title said best .22 rifle, there are not many people who'll dispute an Anschutz or Cooper. In fact this topic has been discussed ad-nauseum over in rimfirecentral.

Favorite and least favorite are so subjective.

I liked the Browning 22. Not only because it was nice and looked clean but because it was the first gun I shot when I was 4 years old. Also, my dad passed it down to me so that is why I charish it.

After that my 10/22 then my Cricket.

I've never owned a .22 I disliked so I can't comment.

My favorite .22 rifle is my grandfathers Model 1890 Winchester pump action gallery gun with an octogon barrel. The barrel is pretty pitted and doesn't shoot straight at all. The stock and the exterior metal is in great shape though. I was told it was built in 1909 but I have not confirmed it.
