What does general public in CA think about gun rights?

Sorry for duplicate post - I posted this in the general gun discussion forum by mistake.

I'm curious about how the general public feels regarding gun rights in your state. Has there ever been a public interest poll commissioned? I saw a map recently linked in a post here which showed a wide variance among counties regarding the number of Concealed Carry permits. From an interested outsider's persepective, it looks like the political leadership in LA and SF are strongly anti-gun, but everywhere else, perhaps not so much.

You live in a very interesting and diverse state! I'm just wondering if an assessment in the form of a public interest poll would help you to characterize the true magnitude of the opposition you face in restoring gun rights.

I know friends here in SoCal who are pro-gun but do not necessarily own guns.

And those that do, own only 1 or 2 guns. (And they aren't familiar with CA gun laws.)

(Hard to give a percentage but then my sample size is only 2 dozen or so...)

Since I own more than 2 guns, I guess I'm their resident gun "nut."
