Hey all,
Today, I was purchased a factory Remington 870 +2 magazine extension and after installing it I function checked it and ran into this problem. I am using a standard orange stock follower on the end of the spring and it has two slits on the side in order to get past two dimples at the end of the standard tube. In fact, the follower doesn't even get that far. A black end piece that I removed in order for the extension usually is in that space. In short, with that piece removed and the extension added the orange follower will get stuck when hitting the dimples unless perfectly lined up, which has yet to happen. My question is if there is a special follower I need or can I just dremel down the two dimples? I realize this could hurt the resale value but I don't plan on selling it and I can't find a reason why they are there. Is there a reason I should not do this?
Thanks,
Ben
