Vertical sword stand for an AR?

Thought it'd be pretty cool to display my AR-15 like this but I was wondering if there are AR specific stands like this or if I'd have to find a big sword holder and make it work.

    Thanks.

The first link on google for "sword stand" has them for $19.99.

You can check out guitar stands too. The ones that hold a guitar by the headstock are probably the best option. I've seen them as cheap as $8.00

That set up is way too wobbly for long term or regular storage. I bet it took the photographer several attempts just to get the rifle to stay. If you really like the idea and have some time and tools, make one yourself that will much better in the long run. At least plan on making the hole in the bottom of the stand the rifle rests in bigger and deeper.

Very nice - but seriously - it's a firearm. CA Law and common sense says it should be in a gun safe.

          Really? Care to quote PC?

Common sense, when being American meant being a part of the gun culture, used to dictate that you keep your firearms on display in glass fronted cases.

Maybe buy a regular one and reinforce it? Maybe add some extra screws to the base and find a way to have it stay in place? HEY! that rhythms!
What I thought about doing with this was also putting my body armor and kevlar on a stand like we used to make in Iraq.

FUD. no law requires this. ive never owned a gun safe...it would only slow me down.
