Engraving/etching

I'm thinking of having something engraved on all my rifles. its something personal and I was wondering if anyone does that. I know there are places at the mall that do engraving but it would be sort of hard for me to walk in with a bunch of guns and say engrave this on these. My only other option is to have stickers made and then trace out the stickers with a engraving tool.

I just saw a thread today from a calgunner that had it in his signature that he did that kind of stuff.
Let me see if I can find it.

Do not underestimate the amount of skill and tooling needed to properly engrave gun metal(s) without totally screwing the pooch in the process.
