Pacific Rod & Gun Club at Lake Merced - email needed TODAY - May 22nd

The Pacific Rod and Gun Club in San Francisco, at Lake Merced, needs letters and emails of support TODAY (May 22nd). There is an effort afoot to curtail shooting at the Club, and the SF P.U.C. is accepting public input through tomorrow, the 23rd. The basic points are laid out here:

And contact info for letters and emails is given on the home page:

Whether you've enjoyed shooting there before, or haven't even heard of the place before now, please consider sending a note of support to the SFPUC. It's important to retain this positive recreational facility, which has served us since the mid 1930's.
Making guns illegal is as stupid as making drugs or prostitution illegal.

Please also see the Shoots, Meets, and Range Stories section for a related thread to save the PRGC -- thanks!

Thanks, I missed that thread. I grew up in SF, out near Lake Merced, and the PRGC was a part of life, even without going there to shoot. The mystery of the clays, the towers, the sound of the guns through the cold fog... I look forward to some shooting there later this summer.

No problem -- I had gotten the word from Coyote Point Rifle & Pistol. One of my friends is the past president of PRGC. I hope everyone's efforts in this pays off to save the range. I shoot at the SFPD range next month and think it's neat that we have such a pretty environment in the heart of the City.

I just wish the antis would appreciate the same things we do.

Oh, and I'm a native SFer too
