I was taught to try and shoot with both eyes open, but this makes it kind of hard. Aiming by focusing on the front sight, I see 2 different rear sights and 2 different targets. So I just end up up closing one eye, which doesn't allow the best depth perception.
I have the same problem, if I focus on my sights I see two targets, if I focus on the target I see two sets of sights. I still shoot with both eyes open, I just focus on the target and use the set of sights on the left, which is the set my right eye is seeing. As far as my eyes go I could use my left eye just as easy but now I'm used bringing the gun up with my right eye lined up.
