Playing with a slow motion camera

We just got a camera at work that can do slow motion, so of course we want to use it for gun videos

Literally we just set it up on a tripod, aimed it and hit record, then took a few shots with a 1911-22 and an XD9sc. The 1911 is in 210fps and the XD is in 1000fps.

Going forward we are looking to actually use the camera for serious purposes and showing the workings of various firearms etc..

    HERE is the video.

This was the base Casio EX-FS10 model camera, was about $140 shipped.
They have better ones, we just got this as a proof of concept for now.

Nice. I have a Casio EX-F1 that I use for shooting slow motion stuff.

You should also try the burst shot feature as well. Great for getting some good pictures

Now the phantom is a REAL slowmo camera

Definitely will have to try and burst shot, that looks great. We have a berm setup so we can hide the camera etc behind it taking shots of the targets.

I'm not sure if its on your camera, but the f1 has pretty neat feature where it'll buffer a certain number of pictures(which you can set) when you press the shutter half way. Once the action happens, you press it all the way down and it'll take the rest of the pictures. Really good feature for catching those action or exploding shots on camera.

Those videos are awesome. Also shooting out your back door is pretty cool.

And keeping Christmas lights on the house all year is cool too

That is a great feature and this one has that. Its like the F1 but smaller and more compact.

Ironically they were not up for Christmas, they just attract less bugs then the big lights LOL

I live outside of the city so it is nice to just shoot from the deck, and with the overhang even rain doesnt stop me.
